Welcome from the President of APAIE
On behalf of APAIE, it is my pleasure to extend a warm invitation to you to join us for the APAIE 2026 Conference and Exhibition in Hong Kong, taking place a little earlier in the year than usual, over 23-27 February 2026. We are honoured to have The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), a founding member of APAIE, leading the local Hong Kong higher education community in welcoming APAIE to their vibrant city.
Back in 2013, CUHK hosted the APAIE Conference and Exhibition event which attracted 1,250 delegates. As we return to Hong Kong, some 13 years later, we are expecting 2,500 delegates from over 65 countries/regions for the 19th iteration of the event – testament to the growth of APAIE and global interest in the region’s higher education sector.
The fundamental purpose of APAIE remains unchanged since its inception in 2004: to serve as a platform for international educators to come together, fostering connections within the Asia Pacific region and bridging it with the global community. APAIE also strives to incorporate an emphasis on sustainability in our mission.
It is a privilege to be part of such a diverse region, with its array of cultures, histories, perspectives, and experiences. We are honoured to have the opportunity to share this richness with you through the annual APAIE conference and exhibition. Our program is designed to foster mutual sharing of ideas through the 2026 theme of “Asia-Pacific Partnerships for the Global Good”.

The event will bring together educators, administrators, and policymakers from around the world to discuss and share best practices in fostering global citizenship and enhancing the quality of higher education.
