Dr. Zhang Damiao currently serves as the Executive Deputy Director of the International Office at Renmin University of China (RUC). She completed her undergraduate studies in English Literature and graduate studies in Applied Linguistics at Beijing Foreign Studies University, followed by her doctoral studies in Journalism at Renmin University of China. Additionally, she was a visiting scholar at Yale University.
With nearly two decades of service at RUC, Dr. Zhang has accumulated extensive expertise in international exchange and cooperation. In her current capacity, she is responsible for overseeing the operations of the International Office, including the formulation of international strategies, external communications, the establishment of institutional partnerships, the facilitation of student mobility programs, and the management of other international affairs of the university.
Dr. Zhang’s professional experience also includes significant international exposure. She was a shadowing staff member in the International Programs Office at Columbia University and held a position in the Education Office of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in San Francisco.
