Brent White is the Chief Global Officer at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he directs all aspects of global engagement for the campus. He is also a Professor of Law at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa William S. Richardson School of Law.
Previously, Professor White served as Vice President for Global Affairs, Dean of Global Locations, and Chief Executive Officer of Global Operations at the University of Arizona, where he led the University of Arizona’s transformation into one of the world’s most global universities. This included founding and leading Arizona’s Global Microcampus Network, which grew to 13 global campuses, offering in person degree programs, and 691 global locations, offering online access to UA degrees and on ground support for students in six continents and 57 countries.
Professor White also served as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Golden Gate University, where he led the university’s rapid transformation into a global university.
Brent is a scholar of law and development and property law. His work has been featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, NPR, and 60 Minutes.
