Professor Dr Puji Astuti is a Lecturer in Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada. She has been appointed as Director for Partnership, and Global Relations UGM since July 2023 after 2 years as Director or Partnership, Alumni and Global Initiatives. Previously she positioned as the Head, Division of Community Services at the Directorate of Community Services UGM for 5 years. She graduated from Bachelor of Pharmacy (UGM), Master in Biotechnology (UNSW), and PhD in Medicinal Science (UQ). Her research focusses on mechanisms regulating cell cycle as targets for chemotherapeutics. Screening bioactive compounds isolated from natural resources is also the focus of her research. She has been involved in managing programs related to Education for Sustainable Development in UGM such as RCE Yogyakarta (a network for ESD) and THE Impact for SDGs. Currently her main duties are coordinating and developing strategies for national and international networks supporting academic, research and community engagement in UGM.
