Robin Lee is an award-winning Hong Kong filmmaker and cinematographer best known for his debut feature documentary Four Trails, which chronicles the 298-kilometer Hong Kong Four Trails Ultra Challenge. Celebrated for its stunning visuals and powerful storytelling, the film earned Robin the Best New Director Award at the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards, was named one of the Top 10 Hong Kong Films of 2024, and won the Audience Award at the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival. It became the second highest-grossing documentary in Hong Kong history, reaching HK$11 million. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Robin studied locally before earning a Sports Science and Engineering degree from the University of Birmingham. His career began in adventure sports, producing ski films and working with global brands like The North Face and Hoka One. Four Trails was a self-funded passion project completed over three years, focusing on everyday individuals. Robin hopes audiences can draw a parallel between the athletes’ journeys and their own lives and gain confidence to take on new challenges ahead.
