Hong Kong uses an outlet of type G and type D. The standard voltage is 220 V at a frequency of 50Hz.
All electrical current for consumption in the HKCEC will be supplied by HML and provided by the HKCEC’s electricity supply company. The standard supplies are as follows:
- Single Phase Neutral & Ground 220V ± 6%
- 50 cycles per second AC supply ± 2%
- Three Phase Neutral & Ground 380V ± 6%
- 50 cycles per second AC supply ± 2%
Extension Cords
- Attaching multiple devices to a single power outlet by means of an extension cord, may cause and overload and result in the load protection fuse disconnecting power.
- No more than one extension cord shall be connected to any one socket.
No multiple plugs are allowed.
All electrical apparatus, wires/cables etc., which can be easily contacted by people shall be covered with special protection.
