MEIRMANOV Serik is a Vice-President for Student Affairs and International Cooperation and Professor at the College of Sustainability & Tourism, Ritsumeikan Asia-Pacific University (APU).
Prior this position he served as Dean of Academic Affairs at APU where he was responsible for overseeing the whole university academic programs and policies, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in their chosen field.
He also a member of Beppu City Environmental Conservation Council and East-Kyushu Medical Valley (Oita prefecture).
He graduated from Semey Medical University (Kazakhstan) and obtained PhD in Health Science, Nagasaki University (Japan).
He also finished Program in Public Health, University of London, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK).
His current research interest in Public and Global Health area focusing on psychological aspects of students and medical staff.
He published more than 60 articles in peer reviewed journals in Public Health and Molecular Biology as well as 3 books.
His main teaching areas are Health & Wellness Tourism, Health Science and Psychology.
