David OUCHTERLONIE

Director of Global Partnerships, University of Nottingham

David provides strategic leadership for the University of Nottingham’s global partnership portfolio, advancing high-value, multi-dimensional partnerships that enhance international education provision, research impact, and global reputation. His role ensures coherent and coordinated engagement across Nottingham’s campuses in the UK, China, and Malaysia, aligning global partnerships with institutional priorities and internationalisation ambitions.

He previously led the design and delivery of Nottingham’s Global Engagement Strategic Delivery Plan and UoN’s first Advancement Strategy in Asia-Pacific, focused on harnessing Nottingham’s presence and alumni networks across Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

With over 18 years at Nottingham, David has extensive experience in finance, major gift fundraising, and principal giving, working closely with Vice-Chancellors and senior leaders to secure transformational philanthropic support. Prior to joining the University, he held finance roles in the corporate sector.
