Dr Jocelyne Basseal is the Director of Global Research and Engagement at the University of Sydney. In this role, she oversees a portfolio dedicated to international research partnerships, global networks and high-level international delegations. Previously, she was Associate Director at the Sydney Infectious Diseases Institute, where she shaped the Institutes external engagement and partnerships and developed the inaugural strategic plan. Jocelyne brings a wealth of global experience from her work as an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) consultant with the WHOs Western Pacific Regional Office during the COVID 19 pandemic, where she supported low- and middle-income countries for the health emergency response.
