Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Ariffin bin Abu Hassan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), United Kingdom, in 2004. He currently serves as the Director of UTM International and holds the distinction of being Malaysia’s first Erasmus+ National Focal Point (ENFP). He also serves as Chair of the Malaysian University International Directors Committee (JKPA). His global engagement is further demonstrated through his roles as Executive Director and Chair of the Steering Committee of the Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net), Operational Board Member of the World Technology Universities Network (WTUN), and Executive Committee Member of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE).
