Marrik Bellen is since 2015 the director of the Office of Leiden University in Indonesia. He has been involved in internationalization of higher education for over 30 years, amongst others as Director of the Netherlands Education Support Offices in China and in Indonesia for NUFFIC (2006-2013) and as senior policy advisor for internationalization for Asia at Utrecht University (2000-2006). He was director of the intercultural communication & management training center of Leiden University from 1992 to 2000
