Professor Chan was appointed Dexter Man Family Professor in Medical Science in 2014. He served as HKU Associate Dean of Medicine, Head of Department of Physiology, and Director of Neuroscience Research Center. He served as Chair of IBRO (Asia-Pacific Regional Committee), FAONS President and ASPN President. Professor Chan is Fellow of Royal Society of Biology and recipient of the First Medallion of Australian Neuroscience Society. He is Founding Editor-in-Chief for IBRO Neuroscience Reports.
