Rafael Dias is Full Professor of Public Policy at the School of Applied Sciences at the State University of Campinas and currently serves as UNICAMPs Director of International Affairs. He was a visiting postdoctoral researcher at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), University of Sussex, United Kingdom (2016). He holds a Masters (2005) and a PhD (2009) in Science and Technology Policy from UNICAMP, with an internship period at Georgia Institute of Technology (2009). He holds a degree in Economics from Facamp (Faculdades de Campinas, 2003). Rafael has experience in the areas of Science and Technology Studies and Policy Analysis, specializing in the following themes: technologies for social inclusion; Social Innovation; Science, Technology and Power; Technology and democracy; comparative science and technology policy. He has authored around 200 academic works and supervised nearly 50 Masters’ and PhD candidates. He currently serves as the State University of Campinas’ Director of International Affairs.
