Laura E. Rumbley, PhD, is Director for Knowledge Development and Research at the European Association for International Education (EAIE) in Amsterdam. A former US Foreign Service Officer, Laura previously served as Associate Director of the Boston College Center for International Higher Education (CIHE), Deputy Director of the Brussels-based Academic Cooperation Association (ACA), and co-editor of the Journal of Studies in International Higher Education, where she is now a member of the Editorial Advisory Board.
