Dr. JY Zhou is the Associate Provost for International Initiatives at James Madison University. She is responsible for campus-wide internationalization. She keeps an active research agenda and has published a new theoretical framework to define and assess comprehensive internationalization as a dynamic system. She is active in both NAFSA and AIEA and presents frequently, and is the Chair of NAFSA 2026 Annual Conference. She holds a doctorate in Educational Theory and Practices from Binghamton University-SUNY.
