Asia-Pacific Partnerships for the Global Good

In the face of numerous global challenges such as geopolitical tensions, climate change, digital transformation, and public health crises, the role of higher education institutions extends beyond teaching and research. Universities are uniquely positioned to build partnerships that address pressing global challenges through collaboration across borders, sectors, and disciplines.

The theme, Asia-Pacific Partnerships for the Global Good, invites proposals to showcase how the international higher education sector is forging impactful, inclusive, and sustainable partnerships to drive positive change, both within the Asia-Pacific region and between the Asia-Pacific region and the rest of the world.

Your proposal may focus on the partnership itself or the outcome of the partnership which may involve a variety of relationships, such as:

Strategic alliances between universities such as international collaborations that enhance global learning, research innovation, and knowledge exchange.

University–community partnerships that amplify local impact while generating global insights.

Cross-sector collaborations such as with governments, NGOs, or industry, that link academic expertise with real-world application.

North–South and South–South partnerships that prioritize equity, mutual benefit, and long-term capacity building.

Collaborative approaches to global challenges such as climate action, refugee education, digital equity, or global health.

Student and faculty-led initiatives that embody the spirit of global citizenship and social responsibility.

We welcome a diverse range of contributions under the following streams for a more inclusive, resilient, and dynamic global education landscape, where partnerships serve as the cornerstone for achieving the common good. This may include research findings, institutional case studies, policy perspectives, program evaluations, innovative models of collaboration, and best practice.
