Alison Dell is the Minister-Counsellor (Education and Research) at the Australian Embassy in Beijing. Alison previously led Australia’s education-related participation through the G20, building closer relations with India and Indonesia in their host years, and managing Australia’s participation in APEC. Alison provided the Australian international education sector with guidance and engagement on transnational education (TNE), particularly in markets such as Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand. Alison oversaw diverse projects to ensure that international students have the best experience possible in Australia, looking at opportunities for innovative TNE globally and working with partners under UNESCO conventions to progress recognition of qualifications under Global Convention and the Tokyo Convention.
