Prof. Dr. Lasith Gunawardena heads the Department of Information Technology at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the University’s Invention, Innovation, and Venture Creation Council (IIVCC). He also co-chairs the ORCID Researcher Advisory Council (ORAC); Board of Directors at ORCID Inc.; member of the STEMUp Foundation Advisory Board, the Crossref Ambassador for Sri Lanka, and a consultant on the IT for Humanities Project with a LKR 300 million funding from AHEAD Project/World Bank.
